These bowls are crafted by artisans using age-old techniques in a village in Manipur, India. Each plate is meticulously made without the use of a potter's wheel using locally-sourced weathered-rock and serpentine clay. Each piece is air-dried, then polished with a local leaf and fired to achieve the unique, velvety, matte finish and black hue.
Dishwasher safe on gentle cycle with mild detergent to preserve its finish. Make sure bowl is dried thoroughly with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and to maintain the unique luster.
