Inspired by Terrapene carolina carolina, the eastern box turtle, which as a child, featured in many cherished memories of outdoor exploration. As an adult, I still find joy in catching glimpses of turtles when I walk the meadows, forests, and creeks by our house.

Each turtle is built, sculpted, and glazed by hand in an hours long multi-step process and is completed over a matter of weeks to allow for drying time and kiln firings. Please expect the inherent character and asymmetries associated with these methods.
